After meeting with Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and handing over lotus seeds brought back from space, the Vietnamese-American astronaut took a flight to Hue. Here, she was warmly welcomed by the leaders of the Hue Monuments Conservation Center.

According to Mr. Hoang Viet Trung, on this visit to Hue, Ms. Amanda Nguyen wanted to visit King Tu Duc's tomb and also visit her mother's relatives, who belong to the Pham Dang family (relatives of Tu Cung - King Tu Duc's mother).

Mr. Hoang Viet Trung also added that Ms. Amanda Nguyen is a maternal descendant of Mrs. Pham Thi Phung, younger sister of Grand Tutor Pham Dang Hung (father of Mrs. Pham Thi Hang - Empress Dowager Tu Du, mother of King Tu Duc).

On the morning of July 12, Ms. Amanda Nguyen continued to visit Nguyen Dynasty relics and royal tombs.

"I personally appreciate Amanda Nguyen's heart always turning towards her homeland and roots. At the meeting, she shared with me that in the universe she was very proud and said: Hello Vietnam," Mr. Trung added.

During this flight, the Vietnam Space Center provided 169 lotus seeds (Nelumbo nucifera) to accompany Amanda Nguyen on her journey beyond the Earth, with the goal of sowing seeds of dreams to reach the vast universe.
