Designer Phan Dang Hoang, born in 2000, has continued to make an impression on international fashion enthusiasts when he introduced the LACQUER collection at Milano Fashion Week Spring Summer 2026. This is one of the four leading fashion capitals in the world . With the support of Hangsilk and fabrics from Vietnam, the 42 designs in the collection are "elevated" emotionally, creating visual artistic values. The young designer also presented designs for men and women in the same show for the first time.
The LACQUER collection is inspired by the traditional lacquer paintings of the famous painter Nguyen Gia Tri. Phan Dang Hoang incorporates very sophisticated designs with a modern feel.

For Phan Dang Hoang, the LACQUER collection does not seek to be ostentatious. The designs originate from the most basic aesthetic shapes, but through materials, structures, and complex construction techniques, they all tell the same story: movement in stillness, depth in simplicity.
The materials are carefully selected, the texture is finished as if "grinding" rather than "sewing". Each detail, each layer of fabric is like layers of paint quietly applied on top of each other - many times, many stages - creating a finished product that both sparkles with light and retains the aesthetic depth of a classic lacquer painting.

The collection is also a fusion of Vietnamese - Middle Eastern - Italian, creating a multi-layered "lacquer painting", both fashionable and personal, reflecting the mark of the new generation.
In 42 designs, Phan Dang Hoang and Hangsilk bring the national spirit into the LACQUER collection through leather, velvet, linen, silk woven from craft villages in Vietnam... These are all handmade materials that take a long time to produce with typical Vietnamese techniques: weaving, watermark printing, hand embroidery, embellishment...
Lanh My A silk is used very skillfully and artistically by Phan Dang Hoang. With its natural shine, deep black color, combined with hand-woven panels - each dress is a hand-crafted structure using traditional techniques brought into modern design.

“This year, I have more diverse colors in my designs, such as: red, neon green, gray, beige, pink… These are all colors that bring a breath of youthfulness, creating a valuable connection between the past and present, in line with the fashion flow of the world. 42 designs bring a fresh spirit, a contemporary breath with shapes that Hoang can experiment with for the first time”, Phan Dang Hoang shared.
