An art program with the theme "Hai Phong - Light up the heritage land" opened the 2024 Red Flamboyant Festival at the Political - Administrative Center Square in the Bac Song Cam urban area, Thuy Nguyen district.

Attending the program were Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang and leaders of central ministries, branches and leaders of neighboring provinces and cities.

The 2024 Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Festival will have a special mark when Hai Phong city and Quang Ninh province jointly receive UNESCO's decision to recognize Ha Long Bay - Cat Ba archipelago as a World Natural Heritage, the first inter-regional heritage in Vietnam.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tung - Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee - emphasized that the city always focuses on building cultural and religious works with cultural value for future generations.

According to Mr. Tung, Hai Phong currently has 132 tangible and intangible cultural heritages that have been recognized as national cultural heritages, including two special national relics and 21 recognized national treasures, ranking among the top in the country.

"In the cause of building and developing the city, Hai Phong highly values the cultural values and spiritual life of the people, because culture is the driving force and source of development" - Mr. Tung expressed.

The art program "Hai Phong - Lighting up the heritage land" is the highlight of the Hai Phong Red Flamboyant Festival 2024, with three chapters including: The Moonlight Song of the Sea is based on the legendary moonlight, recreating the legends and historical mysteries of Hai Phong.

Chapter two with the theme "Hai Phong - Radiant May" takes the main image in the stage production as the lighthouse with many historical and contemporary meanings.

The final chapter, titled "Hai Phong - Light Up the Heritage Land", takes the main image of the aspirational sun, representing the city's intense aspirations before the dawn, bringing new fortunes and opportunities, opening a door to a promising future for the port city.

From the evening of May 11, tens of thousands of people and tourists flocked to enjoy art programs and special fireworks displays at the most magnificent stage ever, inspired by the image of blooming royal poinciana flowers, creating a sense of enjoyment from many different angles of Hai Phong city rising strongly, full of vitality.
