Lost ID card, how to take 10th grade exam?

Grade 9 students in Ho Chi Minh City have only 8 days left until the grade 10 exam.

In recent days, Thanh Nien Newspaper has received many questions from readers who are parents of students whose children are preparing to take the 10th grade exam in Ho Chi Minh City, which will take place on June 6 and 7.

Accordingly, a parent sent a question about the situation: "My child lost his/her ID card and went to get a new one and had an appointment to receive the ID card on June 27. While the 10th grade exam is on June 6-7, can my child use the police appointment to receive the ID card or any other document to replace the 10th grade exam procedure?"

A parent asked: "Can my child use a student card or passport to enter the 10th grade exam room?"

Responding to questions from parents, an officer from the examination department of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City said that according to the regulations of the 10th grade exam, when taking the exam, candidates must bring the following identification documents:

• Registration form (with photo);
• Birth certificate (photocopy, no need to notarize) to compare documents;
• Student card or health insurance card or CCCD with chip.

Thus, according to this officer, if students do not have a CCCD, they can use the remaining documents such as student card, health insurance card or police appointment paper to register for the exam.

On May 30, secondary schools will issue registration forms (with photos) to students.

According to regulations, on June 5, candidates must be present at the exam location stated on the registration form to check information and listen to instructions on the 10th grade exam regulations.

This year's 10th grade entrance exam will take place on June 6 and 7, with the subjects of literature, foreign language, math, and specialized/integrated subjects (if candidates register for specialized/integrated 10th grade).

It is expected that there will be about 98,681 candidates taking the 10th grade exam at 160 exam sites (including 150 regular 10th grade exam sites and 10 specialized 10th grade exam sites).
