Conflict at school, 8th grade student stabbed 7th grade student in the chest

An 8th grade student in Gia Lai stabbed a 7th grade student in the same school in the chest because of a conflict that led to a fight and argument. The victim's health has stabilized after emergency treatment.

On September 12, the leader of the People's Committee of Ia Pia commune (Gia Lai) said that the authorities are coordinating to handle the case of an 8th grade student using a knife to seriously injure a 7th grade student in the area.

The victim in the incident was KI, a 7th grade student at a secondary school in Ia Pia commune. That same morning, KI had a conflict and argued with NQT, an 8th grade student at the same school.

During the fight, T. pulled out a knife he was carrying and stabbed KI in the chest.

Taken to the emergency room at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital - Hoang Anh Gia Lai, KI was hospitalized in a state of respiratory failure, hemorrhagic shock, rapid pulse, low blood pressure, penetrating chest wound and pneumothorax.

Upon admission, the hospital activated a hospital-wide red alert and held an emergency consultation, deciding to perform emergency surgery. After surgery, the patient was given hemostasis and ventilation.

KI's health is currently stable and he continues to be monitored post-operatively.
