After picking up a large sum of money, Corporal Nguyen Tran Bao Chung of Hoa Binh Provincial Police reported to the unit, quickly verified and returned it to the owner.
On January 14, Hoa Binh Provincial Police said that Corporal Nguyen Tran Bao Chung (21 years old), a conscript of the Police Protection Team, Provincial Police Detention Center, picked up the wallet containing money and returned it to the person who dropped it.
Specifically, at around 1:15 p.m. on January 13, while walking on the street, Corporal Chung picked up a black leather wallet in Hoa Binh City. Upon inspection, inside the wallet was an ID card bearing the name Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy and a large amount of money.
Immediately afterwards, Mr. Chung brought the found property to the headquarters to verify and find the owner of the lost property to return it.
The authorities followed the address on the identification card and contacted Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy (residing in Hoa Binh City).
Through inspection, Ms. Thuy was the owner of the wallet so the police completed the return procedure.
Receiving her property back, Ms. Thuy counted her wallet and found her personal documents and more than 70 million VND intact.
It is known that Ms. Thuy is 8 months pregnant. This is the money she saved and borrowed from relatives to use for giving birth.
"If I lose this money, my family and I will have a very difficult time because we have no other means of payment," Ms. Thuy said emotionally when receiving her property back.
