Recently, the Miss Universe Vietnam Organizing Committee attracted the attention of the beauty-loving community when announcing new points in this year's contest. Accordingly, Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 will limit the age of contestants to compete from 18 to 33 years old.

Explaining this, Ms. Thuy Nga - Head of the Organizing Committee of Miss Universe Vietnam affirmed that each contest will have its own criteria. With Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, contestants are people who build a good image, inspire, and spread positivity through community projects. They are people who are independent and self-reliant in modern life; promote emotional intelligence and especially beauty criteria.

"When the owner of Miss Universe (Miss Universe - PV) changed, it led to changes in criteria, but did not make them into hard regulations. Based on those regulations, the Miss Universe Vietnam organizing committee set out its own appropriate criteria, increasing the age to 33 years old to find candidates worthy of the crown," Ms. Thuy Nga shared.

In addition, the contest organizers do not accept contestants who have given birth or transgender people to register at Miss Universe Vietnam 2024.

In response to many people's questions about the value of the prize for the new Miss Universe Vietnam 2024, Pharmacist Tien said that the 2 billion VND cash prize is one of the factors that attracted contestants from the previous season to compete in this year's contest. However, the Miss Universe Vietnam Organizing Committee affirmed that there is no special favor for those contestants. "We welcome contestants to participate, but to ensure maximum benefits and image, they will accompany us from the first rounds without any special treatment," Pharmacist Tien emphasized.

When will the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 final take place?

The Miss Universe Vietnam Organizing Committee also said that the final round of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 is expected to be held in September 2024. "Miss Universe Vietnam's Organizing Committee will have an impartial view to evaluate the contestants and have an auditing unit to ensure fairness in finding the winner," the contest's Organizing Committee representative affirmed.

Notably, at the press conference surrounding the Miss Universe Vietnam 2024 contest, Ms. Thuy Nga praised the reigning Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 Bui Quynh Hoa. "Last year, contestant Bui Quynh Hoa tried very hard. She also left many impressions on the audience at the contest when bringing the cultural imprints of Vietnam," Ms. Thuy Nga expressed.

Referring to Huong Ly - 1st Runner-up of Miss Universe Vietnam 2023 taking on the role of National Director of Miss Universe Vietnam instead of Huong Giang or Pharmacist Tien, Ms. Thuy Nga affirmed that Huong Ly has all the factors to take on this role.

“The national director must be the one to work and attend meetings with Miss Universe to get information. Huong Giang and I are still busy with the production stage so we cannot take on the role. After consideration, we agreed to choose Huong Ly for this role,” Pharmacist Tien added.

Previously, runner-up Huong Ly also expressed her joy and honor at receiving the trust of the Miss Universe Vietnam organization.

"As National Director, I will accompany the contestants on their journey to reach the crown of Miss Universe Vietnam 2024.
