Ho Van Cuong will perform for the first time with singer Nhu Quynh in the live show "Lover and Hometown" in January 2025.

Singer Nhu Quynh has just announced her art projects for 2025, starting with the music festival Lover and Homeland. Among the guest list, the presence of singer Ho Van Cuong has attracted much attention.

Nhu Quynh and Phi Nhung - Ho Van Cuong's adoptive mother were close colleagues. However, there was an unhappy incident between Phi Nhung and Ho Van Cuong before the singer passed away.

Nhu Quynh invited Ho Van Cuong to sing at the live show.

Talking about the decision to invite Ho Van Cuong, Nhu Quynh said: "I hope young artists have the opportunity to freely work, without being constrained or imposed. I also want young people to have space to develop and shine with their talents. As for the rest of life, I think Ho Van Cuong will know what he wants, what he does, and what he thinks.

I just hope that in this playground, Cuong will shine and prove his talent. Cuong, please prove to the audience and fans that you are a talented and moral child."

As for Ho Van Cuong, the young male singer was surprised because he never thought he would have the honor of collaborating with Nhu Quynh. He was happy and joyful because he could take this opportunity to learn a lot from his seniors and improve himself.

"I am willing to do things I have never done before with Ms. Nhu Quynh in this project. I will do anything Ms. Nhu Quynh asks for," he said.

Nhu Quynh and the late artist Phi Nhung were close colleagues.

When mentioned about the late artist Phi Nhung, Nhu Quynh emotionally said that she and Phi Nhung had known each other for a long time but rarely expressed or interacted on social networks.

"We understand each other, support each other and sympathize with each other's difficulties in our careers, but we do not discuss personal life or sensitive matters. That is the reason why Nhu Quynh and Phi Nhung do not talk about each other's personal life, but in fact, we have confided in each other about many lives, concerns about work, and right now, I miss my friend.

I once wanted to collaborate with Phi Nhung to sing "Giác Mơ Cánh Stork 2" but I haven't had time to do it yet. I always want music to be gentle and cute, please don't bring negativity into our relationships. When artists are pressured, it will be very difficult for them to perform naturally, we just want to work in peace and live fully in the arms of the audience," the female singer confided.

In addition to Ho Van Cuong, the music night also has the participation of famous singers Huong Lan, Hoa Mi, Truong Vu, singers Quang Le, Hien Thuc, Ha Thanh Xuan, Bui Anh Tuan... MC Trac Thuy Mieu and Cu Trong Xoay will take on the role of MC.

Nhu Quynh is still young and beautiful at the age of 54.

This is the third year that singer Nhu Quynh has organized an art program in Vietnam. The singer of “Winter Lover” invested a lot of effort and passion with the crew when selecting lyrical songs that the audience rarely hears to perform. She wants to limit singing familiar songs because she is afraid of following the same path as previous programs.

Not only solo performances, the concert also features special collaborations between guest artists through duets, trios, quartets, and choruses carefully prepared by singer Nhu Quynh. The guests will perform with singer Nhu Quynh completely new songs.

Nhu Quynh confided that she spent 1 year preparing for the concert, choosing suitable songs to create a harmonious whole. Musician Tung Chau also spent 6 months to mix and arrange each performance.

In addition, Nhu Quynh will release a new album , “Love you, I have nothing left,” which includes famous lyrical works she has never performed and new compositions written especially for her by authors. The female singer and her collaborators spent 3 years completing this album.

The Lover and Homeland music night will take place on the evening of January 4, 2025 at Hoa Binh Theater, Ho Chi Minh City.
