On the afternoon of September 12, Ia Pia Commune Police, Gia Lai Province, are coordinating with professional units to investigate the case of KI (7th grade student, Ngo Quyen Secondary School, Ia Pia Commune) being stabbed in the chest.
According to initial information, on the same morning, KI and NQT (8th grade students) went to Ngo Quyen Secondary School to study as usual.
During school time, KI and NQT had an argument that led to a fight right on school grounds.
KI had to be hospitalized with a penetrating chest wound.
At this time, student NQT pulled out a knife he had hidden on his person and stabbed student KI in the chest, seriously injuring the victim and requiring him to be taken to the emergency room in critical condition.
According to doctors at Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, KI was admitted with difficulty breathing, respiratory failure, blood loss due to a penetrating chest wound, rapid pulse, and low blood pressure. Immediately upon admission, the hospital activated the hospital-wide red alert and held an emergency consultation.
The examination results showed that KI had a penetrating chest wound and pneumothorax, requiring urgent surgery. The team from Hoang Anh Gia Lai University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital performed surgery to stop the bleeding, drain the air, and treat the wound in the chest.
At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, the surgery was completed. I.'s health is now stable and is being monitored.
