The terraced fields of The Pa valley, Y Ty commune, have been ranked as a National scenic relic. In September, the terraced fields here turn a mesmerizing yellow of ripe rice, signaling the beginning of the harvest season. This year, the rice in The Pa valley at the foot of the Horse God mountain is full of grain, bringing joy to the farmers of Y Ty. With the experience of "green at home is better than old in the field", taking advantage of sunny days, Mong, Dao, Ha Nhi ethnic people urgently harvest rice on The Pa terraced fields.
Harvested rice is dried on the stubble so that each rice flower dries quickly and is lighter, making it convenient for transporting and threshing. This year, the rice harvest is bountiful, the joy is clearly shown on the faces of every farmer in Y Ty. Harvest season is also a happy season for the people here. For the fields on the high ground, people have to carry each bag of rice down to the gathering point under the main road to be threshed. Although the work is hard, households exchange labor to harvest the rice faster.
On all the roads along The Pa valley, the sound of threshing machines is crisp from early morning to late afternoon, creating a bustling, hurried atmosphere. The threshed rice is neatly bagged right by the roadside. The bags are full of rice and the farmers’ confidence and excitement. This year’s harvest, some households have 3 to 4 tons of rice, making their lives more prosperous. Small cars go down to The Pa valley to help people carry rice home.
Harvest season at the foot of the Divine Horse Mountain not only brings joy to farmers, but also brings memorable experiences to many tourists who come here to explore the beauty of the golden season.
