In early September, Pham Trong Nghia (34 years old) traveled from the Central region to the Northwest, enjoying the National Day holiday while admiring the golden rice season that was spreading across Lao Cai.
Sa Pa and Y Ty are the two main destinations on this journey. The rice harvest season in Sa Pa comes earlier than in Y Ty, however the best time to hunt for golden rice in both places is in the first half of September.
One of the prominent stops in Sa Pa is the Ta Van area, Muong Hoa valley. Amidst the vast terraced fields are dotted stilt houses, homestays, and rice huts of the local people.
In Sa Pa, Mr. Trong Nghia spends most of his time visiting Ta Van village, relaxing in cafes located among rice fields with valley views such as La Cafe, De Mong and Sailing Cafe.
The scenery of Ta Van village with Muong Hoa stream in the early rice ripening season is as beautiful as a painting.
Mr. Trong Nghia's impression of Ta Van Sa Pa is that it is a very beautiful village, located in the valley surrounded by terraced rice fields. Coming here to relax, drink coffee and enjoy the scenery is a valuable experience after stressful working days.
Although the rice in Y Ty ripens later than in Sa Pa, if you want to see the beautiful and even rice season, don't hesitate, go now.
Talking about his schedule in Lao Cai , Mr. Trong Nghia, after staying in Ta Van, Sa Pa, traveled by motorbike from Sa Pa to Y Ty. “This road is a bit bad, it took me more than 4 hours to drive, the road is rocky and muddy. Although the road is bad, the scenery when arriving in Y Ty leaves many unforgettable impressions, with its wild and peaceful look.”
Trong Nghia is a freelance photographer who has traveled to several places in the North, but this is the first time he has tried his hand at solo travel on the Northwest roads.
This softly curved road is a check-in spot for many tourists and photographers because it captures mountains, clouds and rice fields in one frame.
In Y Ty, Mr. Trong Nghia visited famous places such as "Choan Then park", A Lu village... The first time the young man traveled to the Northwest alone, the photos he took were mostly taken by himself with a flycam, by children, or by tourists he met on the road.
The dreamy, peaceful beauty right next to “Choan Then Park” - the name backpackers fondly give to the empty land at the end of the road through Choan Then village in Y Ty. The place with two ancient trees in the distance is the most beautiful place to hunt clouds in this area. To meet the check-in needs of tourists, Y Ty also has coffee shops, resting places, and photo spots.
