Le Thuy district has issued urgent notices to communes and towns about the flood situation and immediately deployed response plans.

Quang Binh Border Guard carries a resident on his back in Kim Thuy commune (Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province), where flooding is occurring, to safety.

"The flood came so quickly that many villages were isolated. Fortunately, the local government and border guards proactively evacuated people to safety. My family was also severely affected so I had to leave immediately," said Mr. Ho Van Lan (in Kim Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province).

Mr. Hon was swept away by the water while performing rescue duties in the downstream area of ​​Thanh Son dam in Thai Thuy commune.

Currently, authorities are assisting in search and rescue of victims.
