Bustling New Year festival
On the occasion of the traditional New Year, many people and tourists have come to the "red address" to visit spring, express gratitude and contemplate the value of peace. According to the Management Board of Monuments and Landscapes of Quang Nam , on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025, the unit organized to welcome and serve nearly 4,000 visitors to visit and pay tribute at the Monument of Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and the Memorial Site of President Vo Chi Cong.
In addition to the two world cultural heritages Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary, which are always crowded with tourists, major tourist attractions in Quang Nam also set up a traditional Tet "party" for visitors to enjoy.

Welcoming the new year 2025, the first day of Tet, at Hoi An Memory Island, the show “Hoi An Memories” officially launched a new version. A series of modern, high-class effects, invested heavily with a budget of up to millions of USD, marked a great step forward in recreating the cultural and historical beauty of Hoi An ancient town.
On this occasion, the Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-tourism Area (Dong Giang District) also opened the spring with many exciting experiences. Including traditional folk games of pot smashing, can throwing, ring tossing...; cultural exchange at Co Tu village - experiencing Ly singing, stilt walking, bamboo dancing...
According to the representative of Dong Giang Heaven Gate Eco-tourism Area, during the Lunar New Year, the destination welcomes about 5,000 - 8,000 visitors per day and the "Spring Opening of Heaven Gate" program at the tourist area will last until January 9.
Kick off the holiday season
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong - Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the tourism industry in Quang Nam had a bumper Lunar New Year when it welcomed about 395,000 visitors (from December 26 to January 5). Of which, international visitors are estimated at 157,000, domestic visitors are estimated at 238,000. Most of the indicators increased by 20 - 40% compared to the same period in 2024.
“In particular, the number of guests staying at tourist accommodation facilities in the central area of Hoi An City during the Lunar New Year is very large, the room occupancy rate of 4-5 star hotels is estimated at 90-95%. Meanwhile, hotels in coastal areas are estimated at about 70%, 2-3 star hotels or equivalent are estimated at 60-65%, these guests are mainly pre-booked rooms, there are few individual guests” - Mr. Hong said.
As usual, right after the traditional Tet holiday ends, Hoi An city will be bustling with a series of special festivals. On February 4 (January 7), at Tra Que vegetable village, there will be a Cau Bong worship ceremony and the announcement of the UN Tourism's best tourist village award.
On February 8-9 (January 11-12), there will be a ceremony to worship ancestors and a traditional craft village festival in Kim Bong. Following that, there will be a sticky corn festival in Cam Nam, a fishing festival in Cua Dai...
During the first and second lunar months, there are many other impressive festivals throughout the province that promise to attract a large number of people and tourists, such as: Ba Cho Duoc float procession festival (Thang Binh), Ba Chiem Son festival (Duy Xuyen), Ba Thu Bon festival (Duy Xuyen and Que Son), Ky Yen festival and Loc Yen village festival (Tien Phuoc)...
