In the context of the tennis world boiling with debates about the next generation, legend Rafael Nadal has spoken out to reject the comparison of the great trio "Big Three" (Nadal, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic) with two rising young stars, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.
Speaking at a charity golf tournament in Spain, Nadal stressed that each player has their own story and journey, and comparisons are unnecessary. "Federer, Djokovic and I are who we are, it's that simple. Everyone has to live their own story, each story is different, and constantly comparing yourself to others is pointless," Nadal shared.

"What we've gone through is a period where three players have changed a little bit the numbers that have existed up until that point," the 39-year-old added. Nadal has 22 Grand Slam titles, Djokovic has 24 and is still playing, and Federer has 20.
Currently, Alcaraz and Sinner are considered potential successors, with a total of 10 Grand Slam titles (Alcaraz 6, Sinner 4). However, this number is still far from the achievements of the Big Three.
In addition to rejecting the comparison, Nadal also expressed a different opinion from Roger Federer on the advice for Carlos Alcaraz. Previously, Federer advised Alcaraz to consider his career in 5-year stages.
However, Nadal disagrees with this approach. He believes his compatriot should focus on enjoying the moment and continuing to work hard. "Five years is a long time, even longer in tennis where things can change so quickly at any moment," Nadal said.
Nadal advised Alcaraz: "I think in the end what he has to do is enjoy this wonderful moment, keep working hard to achieve his goals, keep improving and practicing every day with enthusiasm to become better in a certain area."
Advice from legends like Nadal is certainly invaluable to a young talent like Alcaraz, helping him orient and develop his future career.
