Since the beginning of the year, Thai Nguyen has continued to achieve many positive results in trade promotion, contributing to bringing the province's typical products closer to domestic and foreign customers. Fairs, exhibitions, product experience spaces and breakthroughs in e-commerce have become effective promotional channels, supporting businesses and cooperatives to expand their markets, while creating conditions for consumers to directly evaluate and experience product quality.

Fairs and exhibitions to promote brands

This year, Thai Nguyen continues to promote trade through organizing and participating in many large-scale events. Information on fairs, exhibitions and promotion programs is regularly updated to businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities, forming an effective bridge between the market and production.

One of the highlights is the Thai Nguyen 2025 Industry and Trade Fair - OCOP, with 200 booths, gathering 30 provinces and cities to participate. OCOP products, local specialties, typical industrial and agricultural products of Thai Nguyen were introduced directly to consumers, distributors and business partners, expanding the market and enhancing brand reputation.

Many other events also made a strong impression such as: Trade Union Tet Market 2025, Vietnamese Goods Week 2025 within the framework of the "Vo Nhai - the origin" Festival, or the booth at the 34th Vietnam International Trade Fair (VIETNAM EXPO 2025). These activities contributed to affirming Thai Nguyen's position on the national trade map, while promoting culture and introducing products.

In particular, the exhibition areas for trade and cultural exchange with Gyeongsangbuk-do province (South Korea) and the program connecting the consumption of agricultural products such as Thai Nguyen custard apples have created a strategic mark, linking trade promotion with promoting local identity.

At the Exhibition of 80 years of Thai Nguyen's socio -economic development achievements in Hanoi, cooperatives and enterprises introduced many OCOP products and typical agricultural products. The Thai Nguyen tea experience space became the center of attention, where visitors enjoyed tea, discovered the quintessential flavor and learned about the culture of "The First Famous Tea".

3-5 star OCOP products such as Tan Cuong tea, dong vermicelli, Vicumax Nano Curcumin, Phu Gia mushrooms... attracted a large number of customers, turning the exhibition into a vibrant trading space, while affirming the quality and value of the province's products in the national market.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thuy, Deputy Director of the Center for Trade and Investment Promotion Support ( Ministry of Industry and Trade ), commented: I was very impressed with the OCOP display space of Thai Nguyen at the exhibition. Not only did I get to enjoy the tea directly, I also noticed how the province built its brand. The design and quality of the products, especially the 5-star OCOP product lines, are all outstanding and suitable for gifts.

Bringing featured products closer to consumers

Along with traditional promotion, Thai Nguyen has identified e-commerce as a strategic tool to expand the market. The coordination between management agencies, enterprises, cooperatives and technology corporations has created a clear breakthrough. A typical example is the Ban Viet - Thai Nguyen booth on the Shopee e-commerce platform, with 85 products/product sets, successfully selling 1,050 orders and organizing 125 livestream sessions to promote and sell products, creating a solid foundation for the application of e-commerce in local trade promotion.

In particular, Viettel cooperated with cooperatives to organize live streaming directly at production facilities, allowing customers to follow the product care and processing process, and at the same time understand the farmers' stories. This activity is associated with the online booth on Shopee, contributing to expanding customer access and enhancing brand recognition.

Ms. Dao Thanh Hao, Director of Hao Dat Tea Cooperative (Tan Cuong Commune), shared: Thanks to livestream sessions at the factory, customers can directly observe the process and see the dedication of the tea makers. This helps increase online sales and enhance the reputation of the Cooperative.

Visitors experience the taste of Thai Nguyen tea at the National Achievements Exhibition with the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", held in Hanoi to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2.

Another highlight is the program to promote and connect the consumption of Thai Nguyen custard apples in 2025, in which livestream sessions on TikTok reached 15 million views in just 12 hours. The session introducing the digital custard apple tree attracted more than 500,000 views in 2 hours and nearly 7,000 live followers; another session reached 10 million views, 300,000 views and thousands of orders. This is a testament to the effectiveness of digital channels in connecting agricultural products with consumers.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Director of Bac Ha Pharmaceutical Technology Joint Stock Company, said: Participating in the livestream session "Thai Nguyen Agricultural Products - Proud of Vietnamese Goods" on TikTok, we introduced many typical products such as Huong Que shrimp tea, Viet Cuong black garlic vermicelli, and Nano Curcumin Vicumax honey. The program attracted tens of thousands of followers and sold nearly 500 orders, significantly expanding the brand's coverage.

In addition to Shopee and TikTok, programs such as “OCOP Thai Nguyen 2025 Fair” and “Cay cuon so” continue to increase sales, promote brands and expand the digital market. In parallel, the province deployed the “E-commerce Street” model on Luong Ngoc Quyen Street, attracting 162 participating establishments, thereby improving digitalization capacity and the ability to reach customers nationwide.

According to Data Science Joint Stock Company, total e-commerce sales in Thai Nguyen by August 2025 are estimated to reach more than 937 billion VND, in which booths and livestream programs play an important role in consuming OCOP products and typical agricultural products.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, informed: Fairs, exhibitions and experience booths help businesses promote their brands, so that consumers can directly experience the quality of the products. The province is combining traditional promotion with digitalization through e-commerce and livestream, bringing OCOP products and typical agricultural products to domestic and foreign customers, improving competitiveness and affirming its position as a trade promotion center of the region.

In fact, combining exhibitions with e-commerce, linking cultural promotion with trade has expanded recognition, raised brand value and increased the value of Thai Nguyen products. With this direction, Thai Nguyen is affirming its role as a trade center - promoting agricultural, industrial and OCOP products in the region, contributing to promoting economic growth and improving people's lives.
