Timely prevented 30 "speed demons" from gathering to race on the highway

(Dan Tri) - Criminal police in Hau Giang have just successfully stopped a group of people driving large-displacement motorbikes, revving their engines, and driving side by side at high speed on National Highway 61C.

On March 24, the Criminal Police Department, Hau Giang Provincial Police, said it had just stopped a group of young people who showed signs of gathering to race and cheer for illegal racing on National Highway 61C.

According to initial information, at 1:00 a.m. on March 24, through professional work, the police discovered over 30 subjects driving large-displacement motorbikes, revving their engines, lining up side by side, speeding at high speed on National Highway 61C, section of Thanh Loi Hamlet, Hoa Luu Commune, Vi Thanh City.

The unit mobilized forces to organize the arrest of 6 subjects residing in Hau Giang and Kien Giang along with 3 motorcycles that had been modified for racing and 2 cars to transport racing cars.

The case is being investigated by the authorities and working with relevant groups to strictly handle it according to the provisions of the law.
