The State Bank requests ministries to coordinate in managing the gold market.

The State Bank has just issued Official Dispatch No. 4695/NHNN - QLNH to the Ministry of Public Security , Ministry of Finance, and Ministry of Industry and Trade on implementing the direction of the Government and Prime Minister on the management of the foreign exchange and gold markets.

Accordingly, implementing the direction of the Government and the Prime Minister in the Resolutions of regular Government meetings, Directives and Official Dispatches on strengthening measures to manage the gold market; in which, assigning the State Bank to preside over and coordinate with agencies and localities to synchronously deploy solutions to ensure macroeconomic stability, curb inflation, proactively grasp the situation to propose and deploy measures to effectively manage the foreign exchange and gold markets, the State Bank of Vietnam requests the Ministries to coordinate in implementing the contents.

Specifically, coordinate with the State Bank and relevant authorities to strengthen market management. Urgently implement measures as prescribed to strictly handle violations of the law in foreign exchange and gold trading and service provision activities.

Especially activities related to foreign currency exchange; receiving and paying foreign currency; one-way money transfer from Vietnam to foreign countries and - payment and transfer of money for current transactions not in accordance with regulations; activities of buying and selling gold bars by stores without business licenses to buy and sell gold bars.

Along with that, it is required that gold buying and selling businesses, especially gold bar businesses, strictly apply electronic invoices in gold buying and selling transactions to enhance transparency, improve monitoring and management efficiency, and ensure the gold market operates safely and effectively.

In addition, the Official Dispatch also requested the Ministries to coordinate in providing information on cases of smuggling and illegal transportation of foreign currency and gold across the border so that the State Bank can promptly deploy effective plans to manage the foreign exchange and gold markets./.
