On October 4, the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen organized a workshop on "Solutions to overcome the problem of mispronouncing and misspelled the first two consonants LN" in preschool, general education , vocational education and continuing education facilities in the province.
The workshop was held directly at the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen and connected online to more than 1,700 points at educational institutions, with the participation of nearly 41,000 managers and teachers across the province.
In his opening speech, Director of the Department of Education and Training Pham Dong Thuy briefly informed about the results of the 1st Congress of the Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Regarding the situation of mispronouncing and misspelled the two consonants LN in the province, the Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen emphasized that standard pronunciation of Vietnamese is an important foundation of language education, contributing to preserving the purity of Vietnamese, building a standard school environment and fostering love for Vietnamese, contributing to improving the quality of comprehensive education, aiming at the goal of building a standard, friendly, and identity-rich Hung Yen educational environment in the new era - "The era of national growth".
Mr. Thuy said that through a survey of educational institutions in the province, this error is quite common, especially in preschool and primary schools, significantly affecting students' language ability, learning outcomes and confidence.
Realizing the importance of the problem, the Department has issued a plan to overcome the confusion of pronouncing the two initial consonants L - N for all ministries, teachers and students in the period 2025-2030 and launched a widespread and comprehensive movement in all levels of education in the whole province.
The goal for the 2025-2026 period is that 80% of staff and teachers will overcome pronunciation errors; 50% of students will significantly improve their pronunciation and spelling errors. In the 2027-2030 period, 100% of teachers will pronounce correctly and 80% of students will no longer make this mistake.

At the workshop, Dr. Luong Thu Hien (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi National University of Education) provided basic scientific knowledge, answered questions and shared practical experiences on methods of organizing activities to practice pronunciation and spelling L-N suitable for each level of education, helping managers and teachers apply effectively in teaching practice, contributing to improving the quality of language education in the whole industry.

Also at the workshop, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen, Pham Dong Thuy, informed all officials and teachers in the province about proactively responding to storm Matmo (storm No. 11).
Mr. Thuy requested managers and teachers of all schools in the area to closely monitor forecasts and developments of the storm; strictly implement the instructions of the province and the Department of Education and Training on storm prevention. The Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hung Yen also requested educational institutions to proactively develop response measures and promptly reinforce houses, move files, documents, machinery, equipment, desks and chairs to safe places; establish information channels with parents to manage students, minimize risks of natural disasters to students...
