On November 22, Da Nang Fine Arts Museum exhibited a collection of Vietnamese folk paintings.

Vietnamese folk paintings have a long history and play an important role in the cultural and spiritual life of the Vietnamese people, created and inherited and developed by the working classes.

At this exhibition, the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum will introduce to the public 100 artifacts of Vietnamese folk paintings from all three regions of the North, Central and South such as Dong Ho, Hang Trong, Kim Hoang, Lang Sinh, Hue glass paintings, Southern glass paintings, Khmer glass paintings, folk lacquer paintings, fabric wrapping paintings...

In addition, a number of artifacts including paintings and woodblocks selected from the collection of 341 artifacts donated by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Hoa ( Hanoi ) and artisans to the Da Nang Museum of Fine Arts from 2022 to 2024 will also be displayed this time.

With rich and vivid content, folk paintings express the people's eternal aspirations for a good life, peace , prosperity and happiness. Each painting has its own unique style of expression, natural and brilliant colors, skillful carvings and drawings imbued with national identity.

According to a representative of the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, through the exhibition, the cultural and spiritual values ​​of the Vietnamese ethnic community will be honored; contributing to the preservation and promotion of the nation's precious traditional folk art heritage; and introducing and promoting them to the people and tourists.

In conjunction with the exhibition opening program, the Da Nang Fine Arts Museum will organize an experience activity of printing Sinh Village folk paintings at 5:00 p.m. on November 22 for delegates, guests, and the public attending the opening ceremony.
