This is the 4th consecutive day that the gold price has increased and increased by a total of nearly 2 million VND/tael.

Meanwhile, the price of gold rings and jewelry of all kinds also continued to maintain at a high level. SJC Company traded gold rings of type 1, 2, and 5 only at 86.2 million VND/tael, sold at 87.9 million VND/tael, an increase of 100,000 VND compared to yesterday. If buying SJC gold bars of type 0.5 only, the price is higher at 88 million VND/tael.

Domestic gold prices continued to increase to the highest level in about 6 weeks, following the strong increase in the world.

In the international market, at 6:00 a.m. on January 24, the world spot gold price was 2,753 USD/ounce, down 7 USD compared to the highest price in the trading session last night of 2,760 USD/ounce. However, after that, the gold price increased to a new high, around 2,770 USD/ounce, up nearly 20 USD/ounce compared to yesterday.

Precious metals on the international market reached their highest level in about 6 weeks as the US dollar weakened. Currently, the US dollar index is at 107.7 points, down 0.21% compared to the previous session.

According to analysts, the increase in gold prices is not only due to the weakening of the USD but also the demand for physical gold in Asian markets at the end of the year, which also pushes the precious metal up. Currently, the world gold price converted according to the listed exchange rate is about 84.6 million VND/tael.
