Cleanup Day in Ho Chi Minh City

Responding to the World Cleanup Day campaign, Let's Do It! HCMC (a member of Let's Do It! Vietnam, part of the global network Let's Do It! World - a non-governmental organization that helps raise awareness about the impact of the global waste crisis) organized a cleanup day with the theme "Every inch of land is worth an inch of gold".

This litter picking campaign aims to convey the message: today’s clean land is tomorrow’s gold. If not preserved, these precious “inches of land” can easily turn into “inches of trash” filled with plastic bags, disposable plastics, and non-biodegradable waste.

Through the concentrated garbage collection activities, the program not only spreads awareness of environmental protection and reduces plastic waste, but also connects the community, promotes the spirit of global citizenship responsibility, and encourages the community to form green living habits.

The event includes activities such as cleaning up garbage hotspots at the National University Village; organizing garbage classification into 3 groups: organic - recyclable - remaining; recording images before and after cleaning up garbage to spread the green message; sharing experiences through photo diaries and mini workshops "No garbage in dormitories". The event takes place from 8am to 12pm on Sunday, September 21 at the National University Village (Dorm B, HCMC) for all audiences.
