Tay Ninh aims to be among the top 10 localities nationwide in terms of Provincial Green Index.

The People's Committee of Tay Ninh province directed the synchronous implementation of tasks and solutions to improve and enhance the Provincial Green Index (PGI) in 2025 and the following years.

According to the announcement of the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), in 2024, the old Tay Ninh province scored 25.41 points, ranked 28th nationwide; the old Long An province scored 27.56 points, ranked 6th nationwide. Therefore, improving the investment and business environment, promoting green growth and sustainable development are identified as the key goals in 2025 of Tay Ninh province.

The Provincial People's Committee aims to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, localities and the business community; strive to bring Tay Ninh 's PGI Green Index into the top 10 localities nationwide.

The province has proposed many groups of solutions to implement, such as reducing pollution and responding to climate change: Investing in infrastructure to prevent flooding and landslides, developing green transport, expanding tree planting, and strengthening monitoring of air and surface water environments.

Ensure compliance with environmental standards; tighten inspection of facilities at risk of causing pollution, promote waste classification at source, attract investment in waste treatment plants, and implement urban wastewater treatment projects.

In addition, promote the leadership role of the government; strengthen communication, guide businesses to "green" production processes, encourage the use of renewable energy and environmentally friendly technology; implement preferential policies and support businesses; encourage investment in renewable energy, access to green credit capital, reform administrative procedures, create favorable conditions for businesses to develop sustainably.

The synchronous implementation of these solutions is expected to help Tay Ninh strongly improve the investment environment, attract green projects, contribute to sustainable socio -economic development and improve people's lives./.
