In 2024, the 10+ program (English name is Ten Plus) of the Foreign Language Specialized High School entered its 17th year of organization. After 16 seasons, 10+ has made its mark as a leading special event in Hanoi for students.

At the age of 17, the program took the theme " Discovery ". The theme was chosen by the Head of the Organizing Committee, Vu Ngoc An Khanh, a student of class 12A2.
An Khanh said the theme idea was taken from her own experiences after 2 years of studying at a language school: "This is an extremely suitable environment for exploring knowledge, exploring the world and discovering yourself."

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Phu Chien - Principal of the school - could not hide his emotion when mentioning the year 2008, the year the program was first organized. 17 years old is also the age of the current 12th grade students.

"Coming to the 10+ program this year, let's start our journey of discovery from simple yet meaningful things...
And most importantly, you should explore to understand yourself with your own abilities, personality, emotions and values.
Teachers hope that you will use more than 1,000 days at the Foreign Language School to "discover" meaningful things in the most effective and complete way," said Mr. Nguyen Phu Chien.
Mr. Chien also hopes that with the enthusiasm for discovery, along with the companionship and support of teachers and seniors, after the 10+ program, K56 students will overcome their initial confusion to quickly integrate into the big Foreign Language School family.
You will carry the spirit of Ten Plus to develop the qualities and abilities of CNNers. From there, you will have a strong start to embark on the long journey of discovery ahead in life.

More than 500 new 10th grade students came to the 10+ festival from 6:30 am in pink T-shirts and floral shorts, both boys and girls. Their outfits were a contrasting color with the green of the organizers.
"The most emotional feeling is the feeling of being welcomed," a student shared in the bustling atmosphere throughout the schoolyard.

After the welcome ceremony at the main stage, the students moved to the University of Foreign Languages stadium to participate in a vibrant flashmob performance.
The program continued in the afternoon with a series of carefully prepared games and a fierce "cheer" match between the teams.

The song "Cheer" (rhyming cheering song) is a specialty of language students, and also a specialty of the 10+ seasons. As usual, the "cheer" match stirred up "breathless" excitement in the synchronized cheers, removing all distances, all hesitations and shyness of the 10th grade students who were still bewildered at the school gate.

The most profound content of the 10+ event is reserved for the evening, where inspirational plays, music and dance are performed.

The entire orientation and development program for new students is organized by students in grades 11 and 12. Teachers and parents are invited as guests. The event is prepared for the entire 2 summer months and usually takes place 30 days after the enrollment of students in grade 10.
