Border and island solidarity festival 2025

On October 3, the Military Youth Union coordinated with the Political Department of the Vietnam Coast Guard; Command of Coast Guard Region 1; Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of Ninh Binh Provincial Party Committee; Party Committee and People's Committee of Hoa Lu Ward to organize the "Border and Island Friendship" Festival in 2025.

Delegates presented gifts to schools and students overcoming difficulties.

Before the program took place, delegates offered incense at the Hoa Lu Ancient Capital National Special Relic Site to commemorate and show gratitude to the ancestors for their contributions to the homeland and country.

The 2025 "Border, Sea and Island Friendship" Festival in Hoa Lu Ward includes the following activities: Propagating to people about the current situation of seas and islands, the Law on Vietnam Coast Guard and related legal documents; displaying images of the homeland of Vietnam and the activities of the Coast Guard force.

At Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, the units coordinated to organize the contest "I love the sea and islands of my homeland" with the participation of 100 students representing students from Ly Tu Trong, Le Hong Phong, and Truong Han Sieu Secondary Schools. The contest was organized in the form of multiple choice questions with 3 parts: "Going out to sea"; "Overcoming the waves" and "Setting sovereignty markers". The questions focused on basic knowledge about Vietnam's sea and islands, Vietnam's Law on the Sea, Vietnam's Coast Guard Law, tasks, functions, and traditions of the Coast Guard force...

At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 2 Third Prizes and 8 Encouragement Prizes to excellent students. Within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 26 excellent authors and groups of authors who are students of 3 secondary schools with works of painting, literary and artistic composition, essays and video and clip compositions on the topic "Homeland Sea and Islands and Vietnam Coast Guard Soldiers".

Through the competitions, we aim to arouse students' passion for learning, raise awareness and responsibility for the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland; and raise civic responsibility for the young generation right from when they are still in school.

Exciting contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands"

On this occasion, the Program Organizing Committee presented more than 200 gifts to policy families, war invalids, sick soldiers, poor households, near-poor households, religious people in difficult circumstances, fishermen, poor students overcoming difficulties; presented 30 bicycles to students of Ly Tu Trong, Le Hong Phong, Truong Han Sieu secondary schools who have overcome difficulties in studying and presented 3 65-inch TVs to schools for studying. The delegation visited 3 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the ward.

The 2025 “Border, Sea and Island Love” Festival aims to educate patriotism, foster national pride, revolutionary ideals and love for the homeland’s sea and islands; at the same time, raise awareness and arouse the vanguard spirit of young people in participating in building and defending the Fatherland.

This is also an opportunity to spread and promote the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", sharing with families in difficult circumstances, poor students who overcome difficulties to study well. Thereby demonstrating the tradition of Uncle Ho's soldiers, contributing to building solidarity, close ties, and affection between the Army and the Party Committee, government and people in Ninh Binh province; at the same time, together with the locality, develop the economy, maintain political stability, social order and safety and effectively carry out military and national defense work.
