According to Decision No. 1633/QD-SNNMT of the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment, 91 individuals of 7 species were released into Tam Dao forest, including palm civet, silver-eared goldfinch, red-billed goldfinch, black-throated bulbul, Japanese white-eye, rock migratory bird and red-billed goldfinch. Of which, palm civet, silver-eared goldfinch and red-billed goldfinch are in group IIB (endangered, precious and rare wild animals according to Circular 27/2025/TT-BNNMT of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ). These species are all naturally distributed in Tam Dao National Park.
All individuals have been health checked and are guaranteed to be fit to return to the wild. The release not only helps restore the population in the forest but also has the meaning of raising public awareness about wildlife protection.
According to the Hanoi Wildlife Rescue Center, the coordination between units helps rescue and release work to be carried out promptly, contributing to supplementing natural gene sources and supporting the goal of sustainable conservation of forest ecosystems.
Deputy Director of Tam Dao National Park Vuong Tien Manh said that this activity demonstrates efforts to maintain ecological balance and biodiversity. In addition to receiving and releasing animals, the National Park has promoted many synchronous measures such as patrolling, monitoring and propaganda to local people. Raising public awareness is considered an important factor to prevent the hunting, trading and consumption of wild animals.
Tam Dao National Park also focuses on coordinating with agencies and organizations to expand rescue effectiveness and maintain regular communication programs. Practical actions such as not hunting, not trading, not consuming wild animals will contribute to preserving the green color of the forest and the sound of birds in nature.
The release of 91 wild animals in Tam Dao is considered a positive step in conservation work, thereby not only restoring the population of species in the area but also spreading the message of shared responsibility to protect the ecological environment. With the close coordination of authorities and the response of the community, these efforts will contribute to building a sustainable ecosystem, creating a foundation for harmony between humans and nature.
