Nghe An: Highlights on April 22

* On the morning of April 22, in Vinh City, the People's Council of Nghe An province, term XVIII, 2021 - 2026, solemnly opened the 19th session - a thematic session to promptly review and decide on a number of important contents under its authority, contributing to promoting economic development, ensuring social security, creating a legal basis for the direction and administration of authorities at all levels in the province.

* At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council passed a draft Resolution on approving the addition of 2,187 teacher positions for the 2023-2024 school year to the Department of Education and Training, People's Committees of districts, cities and towns.

* On the morning of April 22, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Comrade Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor visited and encouraged workers at the construction site of the 500kV Line 3 Project (section passing through Nghe An province).

* On the morning of April 22, at Truong Thi Secondary School (Vinh city), the Department of Culture and Sports held the launching ceremony of the 6th Nghe An Provincial Children's Fine Arts Award in 2024.

* The whole province has more than 15,476 hectares of flammable pine forests, however, the annual clearing of vegetation only reaches over 3,000 hectares, while more than 12,000 hectares of pine forests have not been cleared, the risk of forest fires is very high during the hot season.
