The owner of the alligator is Wesley Silva, living in Pennsylvania. He said he has been attached to this animal for the past 4 years, since a neighbor gave it to him. He named the alligator Jinseioshi, the animal weighs about 14.5 kg, and often accompanies him to many places.
"I never thought I would be able to raise a crocodile. It was really amazing. We went to many restaurants. There were places that treated my crocodile like a 'star', served it in a special way," Silva shared.

Silva registered Jinseioshi as his “emotional support animal” and regularly took the alligator for walks. However, two weeks ago, when he went to a supermarket in West Brownsville, he was told the alligator would not be allowed in the store.
The incident attracted further attention after an image of the crocodile wearing a gray shirt and sitting in a supermarket trolley went viral on social media.
A representative of Walmart - the supermarket in question - said they accept customers' pets, but alligators are considered dangerous.

A supermarket spokesperson told media: "The safety of our customers and staff is our top priority. We welcome pets in our stores, but we cannot put the public at risk. Therefore, alligators are not allowed in."
However, Silva insists he will not give up his habit of taking Jinseioshi crocodile everywhere: "I will just let things happen naturally."
According to the authorities, this state has no laws prohibiting the keeping of alligators. This side explained: "As long as they are not released into the wild, there are no regulations at the state level regarding the ownership of alligators. People also do not need a license to keep them."
