TPO - Heavy rain poured down on the afternoon of May 31, making it difficult for people to move through the water. Thunderstorms are forecast to continue causing showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in many areas tonight.
Since early afternoon of May 31, Ho Chi Minh City has had heavy rain in many places, many streets are submerged in water.
On Ung Van Khiem Street (Ward 25, Binh Thanh District), heavy rain caused water to rise. Urban environmental forces had to be present to promptly handle the drainage systems.
Floodwaters are making it difficult for people to move around. Thunderstorms are forecast to continue bringing showers, thunderstorms, and lightning to many areas tonight.
Many street vendors "stuck" in the middle of the road because of high water.
The meteorological agency forecasts that in the next 0-3 hours, thunderstorms will continue to cause showers, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning in the above districts, then expanding to the entire city.
Rainfall is generally 20-50 mm, in some places over 50 mm. During thunderstorms, watch out for tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind of about level 5-7 (8-17 m/s).
