Nguyen Thi Oanh participates in the 2025 Vietnam International Half Marathon

The music event “Countdown Party 2025 – Live the moment” will take place from the evening of December 31, 2024 to 0:30 a.m. on January 1, 2025 at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square next to Hoan Kiem Lake. The Herbalife Vietnam International Half Marathon 2025 will start at 04:30 a.m. on January 1, 2025 at Hoan Kiem Lake and Thien Quang Lake.

This year’s tournament attracted 5,000 athletes, including many stars of Vietnamese athletics. Famous athletes participating such as: Nguyen Thi Oanh, Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Nguyen Trung Cuong, Luong Duc Phuoc, Le Thi Tuyet, Bui Thi Thu Ha... promised an exciting competition in the advanced level.

In its third year of organization, the tournament has affirmed its professional reputation with licensing, supervision and operational consulting by the Asian Athletics Association and the participation of thousands of athletes from countries around the world , along with a large number of domestic amateur runners.

VIHM 2025 continues to be organized with two systems: Advanced system for professional athletes from the Vietnam Athletics team and international professional athletes; Amateur system for domestic and foreign athletes registered to compete in 3 distances including: half marathon (21.0975km), 10km and 5km.

From 5km for beginners to 21km for professional athletes, every run is a personal journey but also a community journey, towards a healthy and active lifestyle.

The race starts at Dinh Tien Hoang Street (Hoan Kiem Lake), Thien Quang Lake (5km and Sport Family) and runs through famous historical sites and the most beautiful streets in Hanoi associated with the heroic development history of the capital in Hoan Kiem, Ba Dinh, and Hai Ba Trung districts. The race finishes in front of Thong Nhat Park on Tran Nhan Tong Street.

In addition, this year's tournament continues to have Sport Family and Team categories with attractive prize structures. The Team prize is for families (2 members including father and child or mother and child/team). Team members run together around Thien Quang Lake. Team members must hold hands to reach the finish line. In addition, the Men's and Women's Team prizes for 10km and 21km will be for teams of 5 people, competing for attractive prizes.
