In To Hieu's memory, musician Nguyen Vu was a very serious person about time, he always arrived on time and did not want anyone to be too late for appointments.
"Musician Nguyen Vu is a very talented person, he knows and can play many musical instruments. He is a picky person when it comes to music but in real life he is a cheerful and sociable person. During his lifetime, he did not like anyone singing out of tune or singing the wrong lyrics of his works.
Many people who sing his Sad Hymn mistake the line "then one afternoon the white shirt changes color" for "then one afternoon the white shirt fades color". He doesn't like it and often complains "people sing my song with too many wrong lyrics", To Hieu said.
Musician Nguyen Vu also shared that he does not like being called a monument or a star and has never paid attention to these words because they sound polite.
“I have never felt miserable, but always happy. Because I always open my heart to love and don’t like to get involved with money. I just like people saying, ‘Your music is so good, your music is so bad’,” the musician said.
