The shop staff instructed him to apply the essence on his face 3 times a day (morning, noon, evening). Each time he applied it on his skin, he felt a little hot and red.
“After 3 consecutive days of use, my face was swollen, hot, red, burning, itchy, painful, crusted, oozing, and my eyes were swollen and I couldn’t see. I contacted the shop and they instructed me to buy unsweetened fresh milk to mix with the facial cleanser in the skin regeneration combo to wash my face, but the condition did not improve but became worse, the skin crusted, oozing, feeling painful, itchy... I took pictures to discuss with the shop and they said that was good, the skin was eliminating strongly...", the patient shared.
Realizing that the patient's condition showed signs of allergic contact dermatitis accompanied by a bacterial superinfection, doctors at the Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital ordered the patient to be hospitalized for inpatient treatment. Dr. Pham Ngoc Tram, Department of Clinical Medicine 1, Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital, said that the patient was treated with antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, anti-itching and local care. After about a week of treatment, the skin's swelling and redness decreased, the pustules gradually dried and peeled off, and the patient was discharged from the hospital.

Le Thao Hien, Department of Dermatology, Ho Chi Minh City Dermatology Hospital, the main cause of infected and swollen dermatitis in the above patient is that the patient used a skin peeling product with unclear active ingredients and concentrations, causing severe peeling. When peeling strongly, the superficial and deep layers of skin are peeled off, stimulating an inflammatory reaction that causes redness and swelling of the face. Moreover, harmful bacteria penetrate the skin and cause infection.
