Many colleges enroll students during National Day holiday 9/2, 'hot' majors run out of quotas

The 2025 enrollment season is at its peak. During the National Day holiday on September 2, many colleges in Ho Chi Minh City still arranged staff to work during the holiday to advise and receive applications from candidates. Currently, the majors that many candidates are interested in have run out or are about to run out of quotas at the schools.

Many majors are about to run out of quotas and close enrollment.

Some colleges have almost completed their enrollment targets. Master Ngo Thi Quynh Xuan, Principal of Saigon Tourism College, informed that this year, the school only enrolls 4 majors. Of which, 3 majors including culinary arts, travel management and tour guiding have met their targets and stopped enrolling. "Currently, only hotel management major is still enrolling, expected to end at the end of September," Master Xuan added.

According to Master Xuan, before, during and after the ceremony, the school will continue to increase online support for candidates and parents. "The school's consulting department is online on many social networking platforms such as TikTok, Facebook, Zalo. Parents and candidates can ask questions at any time, from the curriculum, uniforms to accommodation issues, all of which will be fully answered," Master Xuan shared.

Similarly, at Far East College, Ms. Phan Thi Le Thu, Vice Principal, said that the school still maintains enrollment during the holidays. "Some majors such as automobile, nursing, preschool education (in association with Tra Vinh University) only have 1-2 quotas left, so it is expected to stop enrollment right after the September 2nd holiday. For other majors, the school will extend until September 10th," said Ms. Thu.

According to Master Thu, in addition to direct enrollment, the school also creates conditions for candidates to confirm their enrollment online: just scan the application, pay the tuition fee, then the school checks and issues a student code. "In recent days, the number of candidates choosing to confirm online is quite high, especially those who live far away," Master Thu added.

Meanwhile, at Bach Viet Polytechnic College, Master Vu Van Dong, Head of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering, said that despite the holiday, the school still arranged staff to be on duty for admission. Candidates can come to submit their applications as usual. Currently, many majors of the school are still open for applications.

College Admissions during National Day 2.9

At the Ho Chi Minh City College of Economics and Technology, Master Nguyen Xuan Toan, Vice Principal of the school, said that the school's admissions department is still operating normally during the holidays. "We maintain direct consultation and receive admission applications. Currently, the number of candidates registering is concentrated in technical fields such as automotive technology, as well as service fields such as beauty care," Master Toan shared. The school plans to stop enrolling only when it meets the assigned quota.

Not only the College of Economics and Technology, Dai Viet Sai Gon College also recorded a large number of candidates coming to register for admission in the days before the holiday. Master Pham Thanh Binh, Director of the school's Center for Business Cooperation and Job Introduction, said that almost all colleges had to maintain enrollment activities during the holiday to support parents and candidates. "Since August 25, the school has received hundreds of applications every day, including Saturdays and Sundays. It is expected that the school will finish enrollment by September."

The school also publicly announced on its fanpage that the admissions department will work continuously from August 31 to September 2, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In addition to direct registration, the school also offers an online registration channel via the website.

Meanwhile, Thu Duc College of Technology also announced that it will accept applications on holidays, including September 2. The school is open in the morning from 7:00 to 11:30, in the afternoon from 13:00 to 17:00, creating conditions for candidates to register directly.
