More than 100 students of Doan Ket Primary School (Bu Dang commune, Dong Nai province) happily and eagerly received gifts from the "Charity Bus" of Truc Ly Charity Club.
From a small group on Facebook called Giving Free Clothes, Ms. Ngo Thi Truc Ly (residing in Hamlet 1, Thu Thua Commune, Tay Ninh Province) quietly initiated a meaningful sharing movement. Initially, she only mobilized friends and acquaintances to donate old clothes and books to children and poor people in some localities in the province.
The method is simple but effective: each person packs and sends it to Ms. Ly, then she collects, sorts, and ships it. Thanks to transparency and responsibility, the model has gradually spread strongly, attracting more and more community attention.
“When I first established the group, I simply thought of helping as much as I could. Seeing children in difficult circumstances lacking warm clothes and books to go to school, I wanted to spread the message of sharing even more,” said Ms. Truc Ly.
Not stopping at being a bridge to receive and give gifts via post , Ms. Truc Ly has built a group into the Truc Ly Charity Club. The companions are an extension of her, directly receiving clothes, supplies, and financial support from benefactors, and joining her on actual donation trips.
The Club's area of operation has also expanded, not only in Tay Ninh but also to many remote areas of the country, especially mountainous provinces where economic conditions are still difficult.
Ms. Ngo Thi Truc Ly is happy on every charity trip to remote villages.
For more than 4 years of operation, up to now, Truc Ly Charity Club has given away more than 15,000 gifts including necessities, books, and clothes to children and the poor in provinces such as Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong, Dak Lak, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Soc Trang, Can Tho, and Kien Giang.
About every 2 months, the Love Bus rolls, traveling hundreds of kilometers, not only carrying gifts but also faith, hope, sharing, and love to people in difficult circumstances.
According to Ms. Truc Ly, each trip to remote areas is usually prepared several weeks in advance. Club members will sort the clothes, pack them, and clearly mark their size and age for easy delivery. The gifts are transported by truck or long-distance bus.
“There were trips that took a whole day, but when we arrived, seeing the welcoming people and the excited children, all the tiredness disappeared. We just hope to be able to help more people,” Ly said emotionally.
Recently, the Charity Bus of Truc Ly Charity Club in collaboration with volunteer units visited Doan Ket Primary School (Bu Dang Commune, Dong Nai Province); Hoa Mai Kindergarten (Tuy Duc Commune, Lam Dong Province); Minh Khai Kindergarten (Tuy Duc Commune, Lam Dong Province); Ngo Quyen Secondary School (Quang Tan Commune, Lam Dong Province), giving away nearly 500 gifts including necessities, fruits, milk, candy and charity clothes to poor people and children here.
The trips carrying clothes, blankets, pillows, books, necessities, etc. continued to the remote villages. Each trip was a touching story: children in the highlands had extra warm clothes to go to school when the weather turned cold; families in difficult circumstances had a little more food and essential items to get through the rainy and stormy days. The dedication, openness and transparency of Ms. Ly and the members strengthened the trust of the benefactors, helping the Club receive more and more support.
“As someone who has sent clothes and books to Ms. Truc Ly’s charity club many times, I feel very secure because everything is public, transparent, and goes to the right people in need. Seeing the image of her and the members not minding the long distance, handing each gift to the poor, I trust more and am willing to accompany them for a long time” - Ms. Huynh Ngoc Tuyet, a philanthropist, shared.

Connecting with the local community in a timely manner, listening to the actual needs of each destination, thus, each gift given becomes more practical. The shift from “sending by post” to “hand-delivering” also brings a direct experience so that each member can feel more clearly the joy and emotion of the recipient, thereby spreading the spirit of sharing more.
“I have been a truck driver for many years. When I learned about Truc Ly’s activities, I volunteered to use my vehicle to transport goods for the Club. Each trip is a memory. Seeing people in remote areas receive warm clothes and children have more books to go to school makes me feel warm and happy,” said Vo Hoang Phuc.
“Each trip to remote areas is not only about giving gifts but also about giving hope. The bright eyes and smiles of the children and the trust and companionship of the benefactors have given me the strength to keep going, to continue the journey of overcoming long distances and spreading love in difficult areas. In the near future, the Club will connect more closely with the localities so that the charity trips can spread love to the right people, in the right places and in a more timely manner” - Ms. Truc Ly shared.
From a small Facebook group, Truc Ly Charity Club has now become a bridge connecting love between kind hearts and difficult lives. The spirit of "Living to love" that Ms. Ngo Thi Truc Ly and her members spread continues to write a beautiful story about love and community responsibility of young people in today's society, together "giving love - receiving smiles"./.
