On the afternoon of October 6, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly Party Committee and the National Assembly Standing Committee held a conference to consider and decide on the dismissal of Mr. Le Quang Huy, a National Assembly deputy of the 15th tenure, from the Lam Dong Provincial National Assembly Delegation.
The bases for considering and deciding this matter are the Constitution, the Law on Organization of the National Assembly and relevant legal provisions as well as the opinions of competent authorities; the submission of the Standing Committee of the Delegation Work Committee and the consideration of Mr. Le Quang Huy's application to resign from his duties as a National Assembly delegate (dated September 22).

The National Assembly Standing Committee discussed, voted by secret ballot to approve and promulgate Resolution No. 1854 on the dismissal of Mr. Le Quang Huy, a National Assembly deputy of the 15th tenure, from the National Assembly Delegation of Lam Dong province.
On the same morning, at the 13th Central Party Committee Conference, the Central Committee agreed to let Mr. Le Quang Huy resign from his position as member of the 13th Central Party Committee according to his personal wish.
Previously, on September 29, the National Assembly Standing Committee agreed to allow Mr. Le Quang Huy, member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the Committee on Science , Technology and Environment, to take leave from October 1 according to his personal wishes.
The National Assembly Standing Committee also assigned Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Le Minh Hoan to take charge of, direct and manage the activities of the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment until this position is completed.
