At the end of the session, VN-Index decreased by 6.89 points to 1,645.82 points; HNX-Index decreased by 3.8 points to 265.75 points. The market breadth was tilted towards the selling side with 513 stocks decreasing compared to 219 stocks increasing. In the VN30 basket, there were 19 stocks decreasing, only 10 stocks increasing and 1 stock remaining unchanged.

Liquidity increased, the matched value on HOSE reached more than VND23,100 billion with 814 million shares, on HNX reached more than VND1,700 billion with 83.2 million shares. VN-Index recovered to the reference when buying pressure increased strongly in the early afternoon session, but selling pressure returned at the end of the session, causing the index to reverse and decrease.

In terms of impact, VPB, CTG, TCB and HPG were the stocks that pulled the market down the most. On the contrary, VIC, VHM, LPB and VRE remained green, contributing to narrowing the decline. On the HNX, SHS fell 2.8%, CEO fell 4.47%, KSV fell 1.82% and PVS fell 3.08%, continuing to put pressure.

In the industry group, energy decreased the most due to BSR decreasing by 2.07%, PLX decreased by 1.62%, PVS decreased by 3.08% and PVD decreased by 3.03%. The raw materials and communication services industries decreased, making up the next two groups with the sharpest declines. Meanwhile, information technology was the rare group that maintained green, increasing by 1.27% thanks toFPT increasing by 1.41%, ELC increasing by 0.44%, VEC increasing by 9.92% and HPT increasing by 8.66%.

Foreign trading continued to be negative with a net sale of more than VND1,185 billion on HOSE, concentrated in MWG (VND261.51 billion), STB (VND187.57 billion), CTG (VND125.9 billion) andSHB (VND96.66 billion). On HNX, foreign investors net sold more than VND86 billion, mostly in SHS (VND32.06 billion), IDC (VND22.71 billion), CEO (VND8.38 billion) and MBS (VND8.04 billion).

At the end of the trading session, red dominated the entire market, showing that the pressure of adjustment still existed. Although the information technology group maintained its growth, foreign capital continued to withdraw strongly, making the short-term trend of the market more cautious.
