Impressive victories on the opening day of the 2024 National U15 tournament

On the afternoon of August 31, the opening ceremony of the final round of the National U15 Championship - Acecook Cup 2024 took place at the PVF Youth Football Training Center (Hung Yen).

In recent years, VFF has made changes to the competition format, aiming to increase competition opportunities for young players and this has been highly appreciated by clubs, teams as well as experts when creating a healthy competitive environment, promoting the development of both quantity and quality for the next generation of players of clubs in particular and national teams in general.

The first matches in Group A took place at 5:30 p.m. With home field advantage and being considered to be the better team, defending champion PVF easily won 3 points when defeating Hanoi Sports Training and Competition Center with a score of 2-0. Meanwhile,SHB Da Nang and Dong Nai held each other to a 0-0 draw.

Group B witnessed a remarkable match between The Cong Viettel and Quang Ngai. It was not surprising that The Cong Viettel were the ones to dominate after the opening whistle. The army team pressed and forced Quang Ngai to defend. When the first half had passed more than 1/3 of the time, the goal came to The Cong Viettel in an unexpected way. Goalkeeper Do Hoang Gia Bao of Quang Ngai made a mistake and let the ball slowly roll into the goal. The Northern representative took the lead and had a big psychological advantage.

Quang Ngai tried to find an opportunity but failed. In the 39th minute, receiving a pass from Thanh Hai, captain Le Trong Dai Nhan fired a beautiful long-range shot to double the gap for The Cong Viettel. The remaining minutes were not enough for Quang Ngai to make a difference. The two teams left the field with a big advantage for The Cong Viettel.

In the 84th minute, after a chaotic situation in front of the penalty area, Phung Quang Danh shot from afar with his left foot to widen the gap to 3 goals for The Cong Viettel. 1 minute later, substitute Huy Hoang sealed the 4-0 victory for the army team and still scored a masterpiece from outside the penalty area.

In the remaining match, Ho Chi Minh City faced many difficulties when facing Ba Ria Vung Tau. The coastal city's attack played very impressively. In the 41st minute, Quang Hung scored a beautiful goal to open the score for Ba Ria Vung Tau.
