It is forecasted that this afternoon (September 25), storm No. 9 will make landfall in Quang Ninh province, causing heavy rain and strong winds. Authorities recommend that to ensure safety when the storm makes landfall, people should not go out and need to prepare necessary items and reinforce their houses to ensure maximum safety.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting's quick bulletin, at 7:00 a.m. on September 25, the center of the storm was at about 21.5 degrees north latitude; 108.9 degrees east longitude, about 100km east of Mong Cai (Quang Ninh).

According to Mr. Mai Van Khiem, Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, this afternoon, storm No. 9 will make landfall in Quang Ninh province, causing heavy rain and strong winds in the Northern and North Central regions.

The Department of Dyke Management and Natural Disaster Prevention said that to proactively respond and minimize damage caused by storms, each person should pay attention to the following recommendations:

Regularly monitor the latest information on storms and tropical depressions via TV, radio, phone, village loudspeakers, public bulletins, warnings from responsible people, etc.

Don't go out.

Assign family members to prepare for storms, save emergency phone numbers, and keep important papers and documents in waterproof bags.

Check and reinforce the house, trim tree branches around the house to prevent trees from falling.

Reinforce aquaculture cages and proactively harvest agricultural and seafood products early according to government recommendations.

Prepare essential supplies for at least 3 days carefully packed to bring along including dry food, drinking water, instant food.

For families with young children, it is necessary to prepare milk, baby food, and baby formula mixing tools.

Each family also needs to prepare first aid supplies such as cotton, bandages, antiseptics, essential oils, medicines for common illnesses such as diarrhea, fever reducers, colds, sore eyes, and medicines prescribed by doctors for the elderly and people with chronic illnesses.

People need to prepare disinfectants, clean water sources, prepare life jackets, mobile phones, flashlights, spare batteries for items, always pay attention to fully charge the devices, and at the same time, absolutely follow the instructions of the authorities when there are further warnings.
