Meritorious Artist Huu Chau, who plays the role of the troupe manager in the film, shared: "I was born into a family of reformed opera, so I went to singing school at the age of 11. In my opinion, the film has recreated a relatively small part of the old touring troupes that I had the opportunity to follow my parents in."

Cai luong artist Chi Tam said that when he received and read the script for the role of Canh Son, who had retired to the backstage to teach music and singing, he thought that author To Thien Kieu had written this role for him. "Many scenes made me extremely emotional, because I had lived in the troupe since I was a child, going through many different troupes, until the troupe was disbanded due to economic difficulties. It was the scenes in the film that made me relive my childhood, my life of singing."

Ms. Vu Thi Bich Lien, representative of the producer Mega GS, said: "It is natural to make a film hoping for revenue, but with a particularly meaningful film about the reformed opera theme like Bright Lights , there is no reason not to make it. Whether the film is well received by the audience or not, I still feel satisfied."

The movie Bright Lights will be shown in theaters nationwide from the first day of Tet, February 10.
