Businesswoman Phan Thi Thanh Truyen has a special passion for sports and organized the large-scale KPNest chess tournament to create opportunities for Vietnamese chess players to compete.

"In addition to business, Thanh Truyen and her family share the same passion and special love for sports. Sports are a way to exercise, make the spirit happy, and at the same time connect many people. I participate in many sports tournaments such as football, tennis, rowing, and chess with the aim of bringing joy and health to everyone," Madam Truyen confided.

Passion for KPNest chess tournament

Chatting on the occasion of Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13), businesswoman Phan Thi Thanh Truyen - General Director of KPNest Bird's Nest Development Joint Stock Company revealed the plan to organize a "super" attractive KPNest chess tournament taking place on December 1 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Vietnam's No. 1 chess player Le Quang Liem will compete and interact at the KPNest chess tournament organized by businesswoman Phan Thi Thanh Truyen and the Ho Chi Minh City Chess Federation.

"I am lucky to have two young children who love chess, so I have the opportunity to accompany them to domestic and international tournaments. From there, I saw what was good and what was not, and decided to organize an international tournament right in Vietnam for the children to participate. This is also an opportunity for the children to meet their idols in person such as Le Quang Liem, Nguyen Ngoc Truong Son, Le Tuan Minh, Tran Tuan Minh, Nguyen Huynh Minh Huy, Bui Vinh, Pham Le Thao Nguyen, Vo Thi Kim Phung, etc.," said Madam Truyen.

The KPNest Chess Tournament has many differences compared to other chess tournaments held in Vietnam, such as the tournament will take place in blitz chess, with 15 consecutive games in 1 day; the total prize money of up to nearly 2 billion VND is distributed equally to 12 groups from U.8 to Open; The winning players will also receive a gold-plated Cup, medals and laurel wreaths. In addition, there will be a lucky draw with 25 valuable prizes.

KPNest Chess Tournament has an unprecedentedly attractive prize structure in Vietnam and many categories for athletes to compete in.

KPNest Chess Tournament is organized by KPNest Bird's Nest Development Joint Stock Company in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Chess Federation on December 1, 2024 at The Adora Center Convention Center (431 Hoang Van Thu, Ward 4, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City.)

The tournament is divided into 12 groups, including 6 groups for men and 6 groups for women. In each group, players will compete in 15 rounds of scoring according to the Swiss system, 3+2 blitz chess format (3 minutes for each player, plus 2 seconds after each move).

The total prize value is up to nearly 2 billion VND, in which the champion of each group receives 50 million VND, second place 20 million VND, third place 10 million VND.
