On the occasion of the visit to Vietnam of Ms. Claudie Haigneré, the first French female astronaut and former Minister in charge of research and Minister of European Affairs, the French Institute in Vietnam coordinated with partners to organize a series of seminars, talks and meetings in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In Hanoi, at 6 p.m. on September 23, at the French Embassy's reception house, Ms. Claudie Haigneré and Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Thi Ha Duong - Director of the International Center for Mathematics Research and Training (UNESCO)... will talk in the Idea Night program "Inspiring Women: Discover , Create, Spread".

This will be a conversation about science , research, power, inspiration, communication, balance and aspiration of women today and tomorrow.

According to the French Institute in Vietnam, historically, women have always accounted for a very small proportion in the fields of political, scientific and economic power. However, in recent decades, many prominent female figures have emerged who have contributed to redefining the concept of leadership on a global scale.

This year's Night of Ideas honors contemporary female figures, especially those who have shone in the fields of science, politics, economics, etc.

After the Idea Night, at 10:30 a.m. on September 24 at the University of Science and Technology of Hanoi (USTH), Ms. Claudie Haigneré and special guests will share about their inspirational journey, motivation to become astronauts and outstanding scientific achievements from their space missions.

In addition, speakers will discuss specific advances that humanity has made through space exploration, especially in the fields of medicine, biology and scientific research.

In Ho Chi Minh City, at 5:30 p.m. on September 25 at AWS Event Hall, Bitexco building, Ms. Claudie Haigneré, Ms. Ton Nu Thi Ninh - former Ambassador of Vietnam to the European Union and the Kingdom of Belgium - and a number of other speakers will discuss the topic "Inspiring Women - Multidimensional Perspectives on Leadership, Science and Innovation".
