Mr. Le Quang Vinh is the General Director of Vietcombank.

On March 7, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam ( Vietcombank ) held a ceremony to announce the Decision to approve the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and appoint the General Director.

At the ceremony, Mr. Chu Dinh Dong - Deputy Head of the Government Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the decision to approve the position of Deputy Secretary of Vietcombank's Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term for Mr. Le Quang Vinh. Also at the ceremony, Mr. Hong Quang - Member of the Party Committee Standing Committee, Member of the Board of Directors and Director of Vietcombank's Human Resources Division announced the decision of Vietcombank's Board of Directors to appoint Mr. Le Quang Vinh as Vietcombank's General Director from March 7.

On behalf of the Government Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Duc Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee spoke and congratulated Vietcombank and Mr. Le Quang Vinh personally for being entrusted with the important responsibility of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and General Director of Vietcombank. The representative of the Government Party Committee assigned the new Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, and General Director of Vietcombank to implement many comprehensive, synchronous, and creative solutions, contributing to Vietnam's growth target of 8% by 2025.

On behalf of the leadership of the State Bank of Vietnam, Mr. Pham Quang Dung - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam shared the joy and congratulated the Vietcombank system. On this important occasion, the Deputy Governor assigned tasks and expected the new General Director Le Quang Vinh to excellently complete the assigned tasks, continue to develop Vietcombank quickly and sustainably, while still maintaining the unique identity of Vietcombank formed throughout its history of over 60 years.

Also at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung - Member of the Government Party Committee, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank shared that the event was an honor and pride for the whole system; at the same time, he thanked the Government Party Committee and the State Bank of Vietnam for creating conditions for Vietcombank to perfect its senior leadership personnel.

The Chairman of Vietcombank believes that, in his role as Deputy Secretary of the Vietcombank Party Committee, Mr. Le Quang Vinh, together with the Standing Committee, Executive Committee and all cadres and party members in the Vietcombank Party Committee, will continue to promote tradition and maintain the position of the Party Committee that has successfully completed its tasks for many consecutive years. In his role as a member of the Board of Directors, he will work with the Board of Directors to continue to develop strategic policies and manage the bank safely and effectively in the coming time. In his role as General Director, Mr. Le Quang Vinh will be the bridge between the Board of Directors, the Executive Board and the entire system to effectively implement the orientations, tasks and business activities in the coming time.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank pledged to work together with the new General Director and the entire system to unite the workforce, manage the bank well, and develop business activities well in accordance with Vietcombank's Development Strategy to 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Responding to the comments and directions of the leaders of the Government Party Committee, the State Bank and Vietcombank, Mr. Le Quang Vinh pledged to absorb, learn and inherit the achievements and valuable experiences of previous leaders, determined to devote all his abilities, intelligence and enthusiasm; committed to promptly and effectively implementing the orientations and, together with the entire Vietcombank system, to well perform the assigned tasks, contributing to the overall development of the banking industry, the country's economy and contributing to the era of national development.

In his new position, the new Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Member of the Board of Directors, General Director of Vietcombank hopes to receive the unanimous support of the members of the Executive Board, leaders at the units, especially "the united efforts of more than 24,000 Vietcombank staff with innovative thinking, with the aspiration and determination to bring Vietcombank to new heights", Mr. Le Quang Vinh shared.

On the same day, at the Vietcombank Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders in March 2025, Mr. Le Quang Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, General Director of Vietcombank was elected as a member of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank for the 2023 - 2028 term.
