After two days of urgent and serious work, with the motto "Solidarity - Courage - Intelligence - Pioneering - Innovation - Creativity - Efficiency", on August 27, the 29th Congress of the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper, term 2025-2030, was a great success, completing all the contents and programs set out.
Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party agencies Le Hoai Trung; representatives of the leadership of the advisory departments of the Party Central Committee, Party Committees of the Central Party agencies and 148 delegates representing 610 party members, from 19 party committees and cells under the Nhan Dan Newspaper Party Committee attended the Congress.
A reliable bridge between "Party's will" and "People's heart"
In his opening speech, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committees of the Central Party agencies, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh stated: In the past term, Nhan Dan Newspaper has constantly innovated its content and propaganda methods, promptly and vividly reflecting the major guidelines and policies of the Party and State; activities of the Party and State leaders; and major political events of the country. The Party's character, political quality and political identity of the Newspaper continue to be affirmed and enhanced, associated with the application of modern technology and promoting interaction on digital platforms and social networks.
Many activities and events organized or coordinated by the Newspaper have created a buzz in society, recognized and highly appreciated by the Party, the State, the press and readers... Thereby, continuing to affirm its role as a reliable bridge between "Party's will" and "People's heart", actively contributing to the revolutionary cause, consolidating trust, creating social consensus, and promoting national development.
The success in the past term shows that the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper always upholds the spirit of solidarity, innovation, proactiveness, and flexibility; maintains Party discipline and order; focuses on inspection, supervision, and internal political protection; improves the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization, promotes democracy, promotes self-criticism and criticism, and contributes to building a clean and strong Party organization.
At the Congress, comrade Le Hoai Trung affirmed: Nhan Dan Newspaper, with its nearly 75-year history, has always affirmed its role as the central agency of the Communist Party of Vietnam , the voice of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, and the pioneering flag on the ideological-cultural front.
Agreeing with the direction, tasks and solutions set out by the Congress, comrade Le Hoai Trung noted that the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper for the 2025-2030 term needs to continue to take the lead in Party building, especially in politics, ideology, ethics, organization and staff. Protecting the Party's ideological foundation is a vital task, so the implementation of Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW needs to continue to be promoted in print as well as on digital platforms, contributing to proactively and effectively orienting public opinion. Each Party member and reporter needs to become a pioneer on the ideological front, protecting the Party Platform, Statutes and Party guidelines. Political and ideological education needs to be promoted, associated with studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics and style, building a team of cadres and reporters with courage, ethics and a spirit of dedication.
In addition, the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper needs to continue implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, perfecting the organizational structure in a streamlined, effective and efficient manner. The streamlining of personnel must be carried out publicly and transparently, ensuring that there is no "brain drain" or the wrong person assigned to the right job, hindering development. Build a leadership team with sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new period. Develop a team of multi-talented reporters and editors, proficient in multi-platform journalism skills, capable of working in a digital environment and international integration.
Comrade Le Hoai Trung also noted that digital transformation is an urgent requirement, which has been emphasized in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science and technology development, innovation and national digital transformation. Nhan Dan Newspaper needs to pioneer in building a modern, multi-media, multi-platform converging newsroom, better meeting the demands of society. The newspaper's propaganda work needs to be strongly innovated, ensuring sharpness, timeliness and effectiveness; continue to convey the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws in a profound, easy-to-understand and close-to-the-people manner; promote foreign information, promote the image of a dynamic, creative and integrated Vietnam, contributing to enhancing the country's position in the international arena.
The work of inspection, supervision and enforcement of Party discipline must be maintained seriously, ensuring fairness and transparency. The work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity must be promoted, associated with the strict implementation of regulations on asset declaration, power control, and building a clean, strong and exemplary Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper.
Building the Newspaper into a model press agency
The Congress focused on comprehensively assessing the results of the implementation of the Resolution of the Congress for the 2020-2025 term, clearly defining the directions, goals, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term; contributing opinions to the draft documents submitted to the 14th National Party Congress and the documents of the 1st Congress of Party Committees of Central Party agencies, term 2025-2030. In the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper determined to continue to uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity and innovation to successfully complete the assigned political tasks.
Strive to build Nhan Dan Newspaper into a model press agency: Humanistic, modern, multimedia, multi-platform; maintain its role as a leading press agency in propagating the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws, and be a trusted voice of the Party, the State and the people.
Based on the key tasks set out, the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper focuses on implementing 3 breakthroughs in the 2025-2030 term, including: Innovating journalistic thinking, improving the quality of content and forms of propaganda of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws; making breakthroughs in personnel work, building a contingent of cadres, especially heads of Party committees and leaders of units who are truly exemplary, with sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige equal to the tasks, meeting the requirements in the era of national development; making breakthroughs in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo, gradually digitizing data, reducing administrative procedures, applying artificial intelligence in professional work and Party work with a spirit of urgency, determination and efficiency.
The Congress approved the Project and agreed on the number of Party Executive Committee members for the 2025-2030 term, including 25 comrades, of which 21 comrades were elected at the Congress, 4 comrades will be completed and supplemented later; and elected a Delegation of 21 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to attend the 1st Congress of Party Committees of Central Party agencies.
The 29th Party Executive Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper held its first conference to elect the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term. With a spirit of democracy, solidarity, and high consensus, the conference elected 7 comrades to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh, member of the Party Central Committee, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committees of the Central Party agencies, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Education Commission, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association was re-elected as Secretary of the Party Committee of Nhan Dan Newspaper for the 2025-2030 term.
Comrade Que Dinh Nguyen, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, was elected Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee./.
