On the afternoon of October 16, the 15th Congress of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, announced the results of the first meeting of the Provincial Party Executive Committee for the new term.

Accordingly, at the first session, the Executive Committee of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee elected the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Secretary, the Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee and the Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

As a result, 14 people were elected to the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Elect Mr. Tran Tien Dung as Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee. Messrs. Le Thanh Do, Ha Quang Trung, and Mua A Vang as Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee.

Elect 11 members of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission and elect Mr. Nguyen Sy Quan to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission.

Previously, the congress elected 52 members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee.

Mr. Tran Tien Dung was born in 1975, his hometown is the old Nam Dinh province, now Ninh Binh province. He has a master's degree in law and advanced political theory.

Mr. Dung has more than 20 years of experience in positions of specialist, secretary of the Ministry of Justice , Deputy Chief of Office, Chief of Office and Deputy Minister of Justice.

In February 2019, the Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Dung to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and then he was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lai Chau province, term 2021-2026.

In May 2023, Mr. Dung was appointed by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Justice for a limited period.

In January 2025, he was mobilized and appointed by the Politburo to join the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

In July 2025, the Politburo assigned Mr. Dung to join the Party Executive Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee.
