Launching the Tet Gift Contribution Campaign nationwide

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society officially launched the "Send Tet Gifts" campaign nationwide from December 24, 2023. This is the largest and most official community fundraising campaign in the country, calling on philanthropists, domestic and foreign organizations and businesses to pay attention to our compatriots in difficulty.

Sending Tet Gifts is a campaign under the "Humanitarian Tet" Movement organized annually by the Vietnam Red Cross Central Committee and the Red Cross system in 63 provinces and cities. "Humanitarian Tet" innovates the form of material and spiritual assistance so that the poor, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people can enjoy spring and celebrate Tet on the occasion of the traditional Lunar New Year of the nation.

The goal of the "Sending Tet gifts" campaign is to provide material and spiritual support to 1.2 million poor people, people in difficult circumstances, and vulnerable people in society, including poor households, near-poor households, households in difficult circumstances; households with people infected with Agent Orange, people with disabilities; patients in difficult circumstances, households affected by natural disasters in 2023; other vulnerable groups (women, children, the elderly, lonely people...).

The Organizing Committee said that with the desire to renew the approach, expand and create donation forms, the Central Red Cross Society launched the "Sending Tet gifts" campaign with many forms.

Specifically, "Send Tet gifts" by sending a text message via mobile phone with the syntax TET to 1409 via port 1400 (fee 20,000 VND/text message).

"Send Tet gifts" to poor households in your hometown by transferring any amount of money with the transfer content: GopTet (for example: GopTet YenBai) to account number: 2022 (only 4 digits) at Military Bank (MB Bank), Account holder: Vietnam Red Cross Society.

In addition, the Campaign Coordination Board mobilizes businesses, business households, retailers, and online sellers to register their revenue target for the year-end business season to send Tet gifts to people in need.

The campaign will help promote businesses with charitable actions, provide "Charity Tet Stamps" for businesses to attach to their products, and help convince people to shop for Tet from these vendors.
