Launching a peak volunteer competition to support the construction of the 500kV Lao Cai

Launching ceremony of the peak emulation campaign of volunteering to participate in supporting the construction of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project

Immediately after the launching ceremony, 3 volunteer teams with 100 union members and youths were established to support clearing the route corridor, cutting trees in some locations with a total area of up to ^8,000m2 ; visiting and giving gifts to young workers at the project site.

At the same time, a volunteer team of 30 union members and youths joined hands to support the relocation of outbuildings and barns for households in Xuan Quang commune; visited and gave gifts to households affected by the project implementation.

On the same day, in 31 communes of Lao Cai and Phu Tho provinces where the power line passes through, the Youth Union units simultaneously organized the launching ceremony of the peak emulation campaign to volunteer to support the construction of the 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen power line project.

Promoting the positive results and lessons learned from the peak emulation campaign to volunteer to support the construction of the 500kV line 3, section Quang Trach (Quang Tri) to Pho Noi ( Hung Yen ) in 2024, Secretary of the Central Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet called on union members and young people, especially in communes where the project passes through, to promote the sense of responsibility, dedication and pride of Vietnamese youth. This is an opportunity for young people to contribute to a key national project, demonstrating the pioneering, creative and proactive role of young people.

The 500kV Lao Cai - Vinh Yen transmission line project has a total length of more than 229km, passing through Lao Cai and Phu Tho provinces, with 468 column foundation locations, spanning 31 communes and towns. The project plays a key role in transmitting power from hydropower plants in the Northwest region, connecting to the national power system, improving the capacity for safe and stable operation and ensuring national energy security.
