On October 3, according to information from the Road Maintenance Management Board ( Nghe An Department of Construction), as of October 3, the unit is still focusing maximum human resources and equipment to speed up the leveling of landslides on National Highway 48 towards Thong Thu border gate.

Previously, on October 2, due to the influence of storm No. 10, at Km133+300, National Highway 48, passing through Hiep Cat village, Thong Thu commune (Nghe An), a serious landslide occurred with a length of about 200m and about 25,000m³ of soil and rock from the hill. The landslide caused traffic to the border commune of Thong Thu to be temporarily interrupted.
Although the repair work is being urgently deployed, due to the large amount of landslides and difficult terrain, the clearance of National Highway 48 to Thong Thu Border Gate (Nghe An) is expected to take many more days.

According to Ms. Vo Thi Lan Huong, Director of Dong Van Road Management Department, on National Highway 48 from Km131 to Km160, there are about 30 more landslides, with an estimated volume of 60,000m³, causing traffic congestion. The unit is currently making every effort to mobilize maximum machinery and vehicles to clear the road to ensure safety for the people.
