Muong Khuong is a border commune of the province, merged from 5 communes and towns of Muong Khuong district before. The whole commune has 5,173 households, with 24,433 people including 16 ethnic groups living together in 53 villages; the rate of poor and near-poor households accounts for nearly 54.5%.

Through screening, the need for support to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the whole commune is 1,207 households. With the spirit of "Leaving no one behind", Muong Khuong commune has launched the emulation movement "90 days and nights to eliminate temporary houses". On that basis, the Fatherland Front and socio- political organizations have met to discuss and come up with specific, creative and appropriate solutions.
However, the implementation process encountered many difficulties: some households were in difficult circumstances and could not afford to build houses; a few still had the mentality of waiting and relying on State support sources; lack of construction workers; high prices of construction materials due to long transportation distances, traffic routes were cut off due to the consequences of storm No. 3; elderly, single, sick households...
To gradually overcome difficulties, the Commune Fatherland Front Committee has developed a specific plan for implementation.
Ms. Trang Minh Hoa - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Muong Khuong commune shared: The commune Fatherland Front has stepped up propaganda and mobilized support for households to build houses, especially households with difficulties, few people, and lacking labor.
First of all, the Commune Fatherland Front mobilizes and encourages the team of village cadres, secretaries of youth unions, village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people in the community to take the lead in starting to build houses first so that union members and people can follow.
The Fatherland Front and organizations mobilized forces to support nearly 3,000 working days to help members, union members, single-parent households, and households in difficult circumstances transport materials, helping to reduce costs in the spirit of "whoever has something to help".
In addition, the Commune Fatherland Front also coordinated with the authorities at the same level to mobilize cadres, civil servants, public employees, businesses, philanthropists, party members, union members, association members and people in the area to support the Fund to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
As a result, more than 276 billion VND and 1,624 tons of cement were mobilized to support 812 households to repair and rebuild their houses. To date, 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area have been eliminated.

With the determination and drastic direction of the Party Committee, the Commune Steering Committee, the participation of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations and the consensus of the People, the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the commune has completed the set goals. Families who have completed the construction and repair of their houses expressed their joy, excitement, and gratitude for the attention of the Party, the State, the province, and the commune, determined to strive to improve the quality of life.
Mr. Hoang Cha Di, Thinh Cheng village, excitedly said: "My wife and I are over 70 years old this year, unable to work. The Fatherland Front mobilized forces to support us in building a house with 3 solid foundations. I am very grateful."
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Phu ward also always clearly identifies propaganda and mobilization work as an important political task, directly contributing to creating social consensus and strengthening people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the administration of the government.
Immediately after the Party's directives and resolutions were issued, the Ward Fatherland Front promptly developed a plan to implement and disseminate to all cadres, party members and people. Propaganda work was carried out through many forms, such as: through the loudspeaker system, party cell activities, neighborhood meetings, conferences, cultural and artistic activities, social networks... Thereby, it contributed to bringing the Party's resolutions into life, creating a clear change in the awareness and actions of cadres, party members and people in the area.

Mr. Do Manh Thuong - Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Van Phu Ward said: "The Commune Fatherland Front always plays a core role in propaganda and mobilization work, telling people and making them believe, proactively detecting and handling problems arising right from the grassroots, not allowing hot spots to form."

With the active participation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and organizations in propaganda and mobilization work, up to now, in Van Phu ward, the project of the Residential Land Fund of Luong Thinh village has completed the site clearance and auction; the project of Nguyen Tat Thanh road to Au Co has completed the site clearance and resettlement handover for 76/99 households; the 110kw power line project has basically been completed... Thereby, contributing to the development of Van Phu ward.

In the coming time, the Fatherland Front at all levels in the province will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, creativity, proactiveness, pioneering, innovating the content and methods of organizing patriotic emulation movements in a practical and effective manner.
