Lam Dong completed 100% of the target of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses.

On September 19, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a conference to summarize the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses and the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the period of 2024 - 2025. According to information at the conference, Lam Dong has completed 100% of the plan to eliminate 5,691 temporary and dilapidated houses, build 4,328 new houses, and repair 1,363 houses, with a total cost of more than 324 billion VND.

According to the report released at the Conference, as of August 31, Lam Dong province has completed the elimination of 5,691 temporary and dilapidated houses, reaching 100% of the plan. Specifically, 4,328 houses were newly built and 1,363 houses were repaired. The total cost of implementing the program is over 324 billion VND, of which the state budget contributed over 106 billion VND, the remaining 218 billion VND was mobilized from socialized sources.

Of the total number of supported houses, 3,862 were implemented under the Program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Prime Minister ; 1,118 were from National Target Programs; 429 were from the Housing Project for people with meritorious services to the revolution and relatives of martyrs; and 282 were from other support programs.

According to the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Lam Dong province, this result was achieved thanks to the synchronous participation of the entire political system and the active response of the people. The organization work was carried out consistently, with close coordination between the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and departments, branches and sectors.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, Member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Head of the Steering Committee for the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in Lam Dong province affirmed that this is a meaningful gift, the care of the Party, the State and the heart of agencies, organizations, businesses, and philanthropists inside and outside the province given to 5,691 families.

Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam emphasized: "Eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is an important political task, demonstrating profound humanistic values ​​and the special concern of the Party and State for the people."

To continue promoting positive results, Mr. Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam suggested that authorities at all levels, localities and organizations continue to research and advise on promulgating policies on poverty reduction and sustainable social security, associated with the goal of sustainable development and narrowing regional gaps. At the same time, localities need to promote the role of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in mobilizing organizations, individuals, businesses and philanthropists to join hands in supporting social security activities, especially building houses for poor and near-poor households, policy families and households in especially difficult circumstances.

On this occasion, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 27 collectives and 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Lam Dong province" in 2025.
