Sustainable development of Vo Tranh commune

Promoting the achievements, in the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Vo Tranh commune (Thai Nguyen province) creatively applied the resolutions of party congresses at all levels to further develop tea trees and tea products, which are key commodities and the biggest advantage of the commune in the midland region with a large population, to develop the economy and society in a sustainable manner.

Vo Tranh commune has famous sub-regions of delicious tea, favored by consumers.

Coming to Vo Tranh commune, driving on concrete roads wide enough for two cars to pass each other, on both sides of the road are gently sloping, green tea hills, fruit-laden gardens, spacious, solid houses, everyone can feel the peace, the atmosphere of innovation and development of the locality.

After merging from four communes (Tuc Tranh, Vo Tranh, Co Lung and Phu Do), Vo Tranh commune is more than 83.5km² wide, with a population of nearly 40,000 people. The Party Committee has 95 Party cells with 1,511 Party members. The terrain is in the midland area, facing low mountains. In the 2020-2025 term, the old commune Party Committees and the current Vo Tranh commune Party Committee know how to promote the greatest strength of the midland locality, which is tea trees.

In Vo Tranh, tea is the main crop, including famous tea growing areas, bringing income to the majority of the rural population. In recent years, the Party Committee of Vo Tranh commune has directed cooperatives, craft villages, and people to promote the application of science and technology in planting, caring, and processing to improve the productivity and quality of tea, focusing on production according to VietGAP and organic standards.

Therefore, the annual output of fresh tea buds increased by 8% compared to the resolution, reaching more than 29 thousand tons in 2024, the area of ​​VietGAP and organic tea is 819.6 hectares, of which 68 hectares are granted growing area codes. Tea contributes to bringing an average income of 60.4 million VND/person/year in 2024, reducing the poverty rate in the commune to 0.93% of households.

According to Vo Tranh Commune Party Secretary Hoang Van Thien, implementing the Resolution of the 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term, in the coming time, the locality will promote the improvement of productivity and quality of tea products, which are truly the key products to increase income for the majority of people, sustainably develop the rural economy , and contribute to building new rural areas.

Vo Tranh Commune Party Committee determined that implementing the 2-level local government model, the Commune People's Committee and departments and offices strongly shifted from management to service, taking people and businesses as the center; promoting local potential and advantages, liberating production capacity to develop the economy sustainably.

Vo Tranh Commune Party Committee researched and applied the resolution of the 1st Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee to local practice, bringing the resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term into life, in which it identified "Fast, unique, sustainable development; comprehensively improving people's lives".

To make this goal a reality in the next 5 years, the Party Committee of Vo Tranh commune especially attaches importance to improving the leadership capacity of the Party organization at the grassroots level; concretizing the Party Congress resolution with programs and plans that are close to practical conditions, associated with building a team of cadres with strong mettle and expertise to organize the implementation of resolutions, programs, plans and set goals.

Along with promoting the experience and technical application ability of people in tea care and processing, Vo Tranh commune supports cooperatives, craft villages and people to apply high technology in the production and trading of tea products; bringing agricultural products in general, especially tea products, to e-commerce platforms; building brands and collective trademarks to fully exploit the potential and advantages of tea trees and tea products, realizing the goal of rapid, unique and sustainable development; comprehensively improving people's lives as set out in the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress and the Commune Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
