Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Council Tran Van Tuan visited meritorious people in Long Dien and Long Hai communes

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the afternoon of July 26, the delegation of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, led by comrade Tran Van Tuan, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Council of Ho Chi Minh City, visited policy families in Long Dien and Long Hai communes (Ho Chi Minh City).

The delegation visited Mr. Nguyen Thanh Vi (born in 1955, residing in Long Lien quarter, Long Dien commune), a 4/4 disabled veteran; Mrs. Tran Thi Le (born in 1936, residing in Dong Trung hamlet, Long Dien commune), a resistance activist who was imprisoned by the enemy; Mr. Truong Van Su (born in 1951, residing in Phuoc Huong hamlet, Long Hai commune), a 4/4 disabled veteran; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tuu (born in 1943, residing in Phuoc Lam hamlet, Long Hai commune), a 1/4 disabled veteran; Mrs. Le Thi Ngoc Mai (born in 1955, residing in Hai Son quarter, Long Hai commune), a 3/4 disabled veteran.

At the families he visited, comrade Tran Van Tuan kindly inquired about the health and expressed his deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the wounded soldiers in the struggle for national liberation and reunification. He wished the wounded soldiers and their families good health and continued to be shining examples in local movements and activities.

Representatives of policy families sent their thanks to the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City for their attention and support, and also hoped that with the new mindset after the merger, the city would continue to maintain its role as an economic locomotive and develop even stronger.

On this occasion, the delegation presented gifts from the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to war invalids, demonstrating the tradition of "When drinking water, remember its source", the morality of gratitude to those who have contributed to the nation.

On the same day, the People's Committee and the Fatherland Front Committee of Dat Do commune coordinated with the Charity Fund of Ms. Sau (Heroic Martyr Vo Thi Sau) to give 50 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to policy families, meritorious people and people in difficult circumstances in the area.
